Super Coven is a project borne of my passion for all the things I’ve blogged about on Love Train for the Tenebrous Empire combined with an itch to produce a creative project of my very own. I’m not a person who’s especially good at amassing cash and collaborating with large groups of human beings, so that makes filmmaking a bad match for me. I can, however, draw my own army of tiny painted people who will march to whatever commands I may issue, which makes comics a rather ideal format for me to tell stories.
So… what is this all about?
Super Coven is a hand-drawn, hand-painted (and computer-lettered, but please gimme a pass on that) comic that cuts, chops and mixes my brain contents into a serialized story about monsters, heavy music, sleaze, the perils of fandom and whatever else I decide to toss in for flavor.
When will the first page be available?
The first page of Super Coven will be published on Monday October 1, 2012.
How often is Super Coven published?
New pages of Super Coven will be published every Monday and the first Friday of every month (because I am a generous and benevolent creator).
Are you still posting on the Love Train?
Is “probably” a good answer? I’ll post review/analysis pieces over there when the mood strikes.
Thanks for being part of the latest chapter in my authorial and artistic career, and feel free to hit me up with questions and comments below!

My excitement for this comic is only matched by my love for this cover. Can’t wait for updates!
Great stuff, Kate! Look forward to more.
Good luck with it! The world (of darkness) can always use another comic book!
Thank you so much, guys! It’s amazing to have the support of bloggin’ luminaries like yourselves
Karswell, I frequently looked to The Horrors of It All to steer me in the right direction. You are whatever the spooky equivalent of a saint is, making all that gruesomely gorgeous stuff available online!
I await each new page as if my continued sanity depended upon it!
(disclaimer: The Duke of DVD may or may not be sane.)
